Rock Ports girls golf team has been making big strides by bringing determination and teamwork. The team has worked hard throughout the season, spending countless hours practicing their swings, improving their short game and learning to stay focused on the course. When asked what are you proudest of this season, Coach Shineman said, “Super proud of how many girls we have out this year and the genuine interest and want to get better.”
When asked her favorite part of the season so far, Karlie Gebhards, a very valuable asset to the girls golf team, said, “Winning the Auburn tournament and PR-ing.” Senior, Landrey Kelly says her most memorable moment of her entire high school golfing career was the van rides. Audrey Dougherty, also a senior, said she will miss hanging out with her teammates once the golf season comes to an end. Although the Lady Jays’ 2026 golf season is coming to a close, spirits are still high as we send Karlie Gebhards and Audrey Dougherty off to state!
