The Atchison County Health Department held a Summer Sitter course Thursday, June 4, at the Health Center in Tarkio for local girls wanting to become babysitters with lifesaving knowledge. The girls spent the day learning CPR and First Aid basics, gaining valuable skills that could help them respond confidently in an emergency. While one hopes they never have to put these skills to use, it’s reassuring to know they’re equipped with the knowledge and confidence to step in if needed. Those who participated in the program were Blaykleigh Daugherty, Baylin Lewis, Aislyn Barnes, Markie Gaines, Taylor Strough, Graceyn Reeves, and Sophia Bare.
