Play Mahjong every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Tarkio Nutrition Center, located at 412 Main Street. Everyone is welcome to learn and play the game or just enjoy the friendship!

The Tarkio Nutrition Center will have bingo every second and fourth Thursday of the month at the Tarkio Nutrition Center from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. for an hour packed with excitement. Come to the Tarkio Nutrition Center, enjoy some great company, delicious food, and try your luck. The next bingo games will be February 12.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held at Tarkio R-I Thursday, February 12, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Parents will meet with the teachers in their children’s classrooms at both Tarkio Elementary and Tarkio High School. School will not be in session on Thursday, Friday, and Monday, February 12, 13, and 16.

East Atchison and Rock Port high school basketball teams will face off on the court Friday, February 13, at the Tarkio Activity Center. Games begin at 5:00 p.m. and will include junior varsity boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys. The Fairfax Methodist Church invites all area youth in grades 6-12 to gather for fellowship, worship, and study on the first and third Sundays of the month from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the church. The next gathering is on Sunday, February 15.

Due to winter weather, the East Atchison Winter Homecoming festivities scheduled for Friday, January 23, were postponed. The basketball games against Stewartsville/Osborn have been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 18, at Fairfax.
